YOU’RE ENGAGED! NOW WHAT?

YOU’RE ENGAGED! NOW WHAT?

A guide to what comes next after saying “yes”, A timeline of events

Congratulations on your engagement! Here is a guide to what comes next and a timeline of events to help you plan your big day:

1. Celebrate: Take some time to celebrate with your partner and loved ones. This is a special moment that you will never forget, so enjoy it!

2. Set a budget: Before you start making any plans, it's important to set a budget. Make sure you and your partner are in agreement on how much you want to spend.

3. Choose a date: Decide on a date or a few options for your wedding. Keep in mind that some venues may have limited availability during peak wedding season, so it's best to start looking early.

4. Create a guest list: Make a list of family and friends you want to invite. This will help you determine the size of venue you need and can also help with budget planning.

5. Hire a wedding planner or start planning yourself: Decide whether you want to hire a wedding planner or plan everything yourself. If you decide to do it yourself, start researching vendors such as venues, photographers, florists, and caterers.

6. Book a venue: Once you have a date and a general idea of the size of your guest list, you can start looking for a venue. Visit a few options and book your favorite as soon as possible to secure your date.

7. Book vendors: After you have your venue booked, start booking vendors such as catering, florists, and photographers. Make sure to read reviews and compare prices before making a final decision.

8. Choose your wedding party: Decide who you want to stand beside you on your big day and ask them to be a part of your wedding party.

9. Send save the dates: Once all major details are confirmed, you can send out save the dates to your guests. This lets them know to reserve the date for your wedding.

10. Choose attire: Decide what you and your partner will wear, as well as what your wedding party will wear.

11. Plan your honeymoon: Decide on your honeymoon destination and make arrangements early to get the best deals.

12. Send invitations: Send invitations to your guests with all of the important details about your wedding.

13. Finalize details: As your wedding day approaches, make sure to finalize all of the details with your vendors and wedding planner (if applicable). Make a timeline for your wedding day and share it with everyone involved in the wedding planning.

14. Get married!: Enjoy your big day and celebrate your love with family and friends.

Congratulations, and happy planning!
